NSTR is partnered with a global organisation with offices based in Manchester City Centre who require an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the company’s most complex payrolls. This role has a view to develop into a Payroll Manager position within a year, responsible for the daily management of a team of 4.


  • Processing of weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Management and resolution of escalated queries
  • Ensuring statutory legislation is adhered to
  • Auto-enrolment and pension assessment
  • Maintenance of accurate records
  • Reviewing and amending existing best practice procedures
  • Recruitment, training and development of Payroll Administrators


  • Previous experience as a Senior Payroll Administrator/Payroll Team Leader/Payroll Supervisor
  • High-volume end to end processing across multiple payrolls
  • Strong payroll legislation knowledge
  • Excellent people skills – both team management and query resolution
  • Ability to resolve complex queries and payroll challenges
  • Strong systems knowledge and ability to pick up bespoke systems quickly
  • Some experience managing small teams is beneficial
