Large recruitment business based in Manchester City Centre require a Payroll Team Leader to join their Contractor Payroll Division on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will act as senior member of a team of 5, responsible for the processing of weekly PAYE, Umbrella and Ltd Company payrolls.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a team responsible for processing over 3000 umbrella, ltd co and PAYE contractors on a weekly basis
  • Processing some international payrolls (EMEA and US)
  • Setting and meeting deadlines
  • Processing statutory payments and all tax information
  • Creating, importing and processing payroll from invoice generation to timesheet creation
  • Ensuring full compliance with HMRC and FCSA guidelines
  • Responsible for checking the accuracy of the teams work

 

Requirements:

  • Experience processing high volume weekly PAYE, Umbrella and Ltd Company payrolls
  • Previous experience in a senior payroll officer/payroll team leader position
  • Detailed and up to date knowledge of statutory payments
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Umbrella payrolls, from pension requirements to expense allowance, court order deductions, tax/NI thresholds and codes and intermediary reporting requirements
  • Excellent level of accuracy and ensuring compliance
  • Exposure to EMEA/APAC payrolls is advantageous, but not essential
