Newly created opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in their Nantwich offices.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly client’s payrolls.


  • Setting up new starters and processing leavers
  • Keeping client payroll information accurate and up to date
  • Proactively advising clients is they are not complying with legislation
  • Processing statutory payments and deductions
  • Submit data to HMRC and advising clients of PAYE liabilities
  • Processing client’s pensions schemes accurately
  • Carry out Year End responsibilities
  • Liaising with clients, pension providers and HMRC
  • Responding to queries relating to pay


  • Previous experience processing payroll from start to finish
  • Fantastic knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Knowledge of pension processing for multiple providers is beneficial
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as art of a team
  • Good systems skills
