Payroll Manager – Stockport

£32,000 to £35,000

Newly created opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager/Payroll Supervisor to join a national organisation based in Stockport.

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will lead a small team, responsible for the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Daily team management of a small team
• Recruitment, training, 1-to-1s, appraisals, disciplinary processes
• Coordinate and manage monthly payroll processes
• Maintain all employee payroll and tax records
• Manage payroll systems and suggest improvement
• Management of escalated employee pay queries

Experience Required:

• Previous experience as a Payroll Manager/Payroll Supervisor/Payroll Team Leader
• Effective team management experience
• Hands on processing of monthly payrolls form start to finish
• Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation
• Experience processing furlough claims is beneficial
• Excellent query resolution skills
