Due to continued growth, a household name in the retail sector require an experienced Payroll Officer to join their busy finance department in Manchester City Centre.

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing on monthly and weekly payroll as part of a team of 8.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Processing high volume multi sited payroll from start to finish
  • Calculate net salaries considering deductions and withholdings
  • Ensuring accuracy of payroll and tax deductions
  • Processing overtime earnings and holiday deductions
  • Resolving any employee queries in relation to pay
  • Participation in payroll audits

 

Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • CIPP qualified is advantageous
  • Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to resolve complex payroll queries
  • Previous use of SAP and a familiarity with T&A systems beneficial
