NSTR is looking to place an IT Audit Assistant into an enthusiastic and dynamic team where you will be responsible for completing all aspects of the engagement lifecycle, including engagement execution and delivery, writing reports, and communicating with engagement managers. The role is client-focused and involves planning and delivering IT audit and assurance-based engagements for clients, with a focus on audit quality and audit innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the day-to-day activities of IT audit and assurance engagements
- Complete tasks and deliverables to a high-quality standard as part of the audit engagements
- Keep senior IT Audit members informed of significant developments and progress on engagements
- Assist in the identification and communication of IT audit findings to the engagement manager and identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients
- Assist managers and senior managers to supervise less experienced team members on engagements – reviewing and providing guidance on deliverables.
- Complete report writing, presentations and proposal preparation with minimal guidance
- Attend client meetings and help facilitate internal/client discussions via seeking and sharing perspectives
- Develop external network and continues to develop knowledge of industry, market trends, competitor activity and products/services
- Contribute to the development of case studies, proposals, deliverables or other valuable engagement knowledge
- Share knowledge with other KPMG colleagues/teams and contributes to the development of knowledge resources
- Contribute to a collaborative culture encouraging constructive working relationships with the audit team and others
- Build and maintain strong relationships with middle to senior level staff internally and externally
Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivering IT audit and assurance services and/or information security assessments
- Recognised relevant qualification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualifications) is essential
- Knowledge of systems environments within industry sectors
- Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes. Experience in financial services and eGaming sectors would be beneficial
- Experience in identifying and assessing complex IT risks and controls
- Experience in using digital and data analytics tools (including Alteryx, PowerBI, UIPath, and SQL) would be beneficial
- Demonstrable analytical and project managements skills
- Ability to deliver work within tight timelines, on budget and at a high level of quality
- Strong teamwork ability and able to work independently
