NSTR is currently partnered with a globally recognised brand based in Manchester who have a new requirement for a Head of Payroll to lead a large payroll department.
Reporting to the HR Director, you will be responsible for managing a team of 9 Payroll Administrators, a Payroll Team Leader and a Payroll Manager processing weekly and four weekly payrolls for over 9000 members of staff.
- Daily management including, recruitment, 1to1s and appraisals
- Ensuring accurate delivery of payroll and managing escalated queries
- Reviewing and amending existing payroll policies
- Active involvement in continuous improvement throughout the department
- Recommend, lead and deliver on system implementation
- Senior stakeholder management
- Previous experience leading a payroll department in a strategic capacity
- Background in delivering a high performing payroll service
- Experience working within a shared service centre
- Ability to communicate and present to senior stakeholders
- Use of SAP is beneficial
- MCIPP or equivalent membership
