Corporate Tax Assistant Manager – Lancashire

NSTR is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to a leading, global organisation.

Reporting to the Corporate Tax Manager, this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the business with its corporate tax obligations. The day-to-day role will be to provide efficient assistance with managing the group corporate tax compliance process, including quarterly and annual group reporting, UK financial statement tax disclosures and corporate interest restriction calculations. The role will also include supporting on a variety of other corporate tax matters such as maintaining the group tax risk framework, transfer pricing, country-by country reporting, and CFC reviews, as well as a host of other international matters.

This role will suit an individual who is ACA/CTA qualified or part qualified with compliance and reporting experience gained in an accountancy firm, as well as some knowledge of international groups. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with finance teams to provide details on accounting processes and transactions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key finance personnel across the business
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly/year end group tax disclosures in IFRS
  • Supporting the corporate tax manager on broader tax projects such as transfer pricing reviews
  • Drafting initial year end tax provision calculations for the UK group
  • Working closely with the UK finance team to assist on the UK tax opportunities such as capital allowance reviews 
  • Oversee compliance process for non UK entities to ensure that deadlines are being met by finance personnel and assist with any tax related queries
  • Working with external advisers on the production of UK corporate income tax computations including preparation of UK capital allowances analysis, detailed review of tax treatment of transaction fees, and review of the corporate interest restriction calculation
  • Provide support with other corporate tax matters as required and ensuring ongoing compliance with the groups corporate tax compliance obligations

 

Requirements:

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified or part qualified
  • Advisory experience within an accountancy firm would be beneficial
  • Corporate Tax experience for large companies & consolidated groups, which includes tax accounting and compliance
  • UK Tax technical knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • IT literate with advanced Excel skills
  • Exposure to International Tax matters would be beneficial

VAT Manager – Lancashire

NSTR is working with a leading global independent company to appoint a VAT Manager as the business continues to expand and grow.

With a business-wide focus on improving processes and internal systems, an additional VAT Manager is required so that existing compliance and financial reporting processes can be improved.

As a VAT manager in the tax team you will report to the VAT director, working alongside the existing VAT managers, and will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns and ECSLs for specific territories, which will involve working with the country finance teams to improve processes and accuracy of data. You will also provide ad-hoc support to the VAT director on other non-compliance Indirect Tax matters.

The role does not require tax technical qualifications, but a sound technical understanding of VAT and working experience of VAT compliance and Excel is a must. The role will provide a broad range of tax experience in a truly international and dynamic business and therefore offers a great opportunity to develop your tax knowledge.

Management Accountant – Lancashire/Wales

Responsibilities:

  • Providing audit services to a large range of corporate clients and business owners
  • Preparing year end accounts and advisory projects on an ad-hoc basis
